Good, Bad and David Blaine
Weezer's new album Maladroit is good; actually, it's very good. Buy it; you'll enjoy it.
"Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed: Escape from the Ice" which aired tonight on Fox is bad. Magicians have an oath and this "Masked Magician" just completely disregards it. While I think the airing of the show was absolutely horrible, I think the announcer/narrator was even worse. I wonder if anyone actually listened to his commentary before the show aired.
Magician David Blaine's next "stunt" will air on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 p.m. on ABC. It's called "David Blaine's Vertigo". Quoting David, "I'm building a 100 foot tall pillar, about the height of a 10-story building, and I'm going to stand on it for two days and two nights with no safety net, no wires, nothing," David tells ET. "At the end of the second night, I'm going to jump off the pole 100 feet down into cardboard boxes then get up and walk away." The Sun is reporting that Blaine will fake his death as part of the stunt. He'll jump off the platform, be declared dead, and reappear in a few days. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll disappear for good.
