NBA Finals 2003

A lot has happened in the NBA since my last entry. The Lakers were eliminated, the Cavs got the first pick in the draft, and the New Jersey went on to sweep Detroit advancing the Nets to the NBA Finals for their second straight season.

The New Jersey Devils won the Stanley Cup last night in game 7, hopefully bringing good luck to the Continental Airlines Arena for games 3 and 4 against the Spurs. The Nets are currently down in the series 2 - 1, but had a very good chance to win games 1 and 2. We were leading in both, but blew game 1 after the first half and blew game 3 in the final quarter. If the Nets would have played the Spurs with the same intensity and consistency as they did against Detroit, I don't see any reason why we wouldn't be winning the series 3 - 0. Game 4 is tomorrow in New Jersey. 8:30 PM, ABC.
