XBOX 360

This past weekend I had the opportunity to get my hands on an XBOX 360 at Circuit City. I viewed numerous demo videos and played both King Kong and Call Of Duty.

My first impression; aside from the sleek new look and color scheme, was the 360's controller was a much better fit in your hand than it's wired predecessor. The user interface of the demo disc and a nice look and feel to it. The disc contained numerous videos showing off the 360's new graphic capabilities, all on a LCD wide screen.

Call Of Duty 2 was the first demo I tried. The opening sequence of the game draws you in. Very nicely done. Hopefully a result of the demo or LCD setup, but the game showed off 'jaggies' throughout the entire time I played the game. Overall, I can't wait to get my hands on the full version.

Kong places you in a jungle environment and pits you against a T-Rex where the objective is to be the last one standing. I enjoyed this demo much more the COD2. With amazing visuals, a destroyable environment and the ability to throw around a T-Rex as if it was a paperweight, can it really get any better than this?

I guess we'll find out in another 8 days!
